Big Tech Accountability For Broadband Act Introduced In House – Would Require USF Contributions From Big Tech
Representative Jack Bergman (R-MI) has introduced the Big Tech Accountability for Broadband Act, which would require Big Tech companies to contribute to the universal service fund.
The FAIR Contributions Act – Legislation Would Require FCC To Examine Collecting USF Contributions From YouTube, Netflix, Google, Amazon, & Other Internet Edge Service Providers
The Funding Affordable Internet with Reliable (FAIR) Contributions Act, if passed, would require the FCC to study the feasibility of collecting Universal Service Fund contributions from Internet streaming services and other edge providers.

Congress Passes Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act of 2019; Creates Program To Fund The Rip-And-Replace Of Huawei & ZTE Equipment
The U.S. Senate has passed the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act of 2019, sending it to the President for his signature. Among other things, the Act requires the FCC to establish a “Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Reimbursement Program” to reimbursement communications service providers that rip-and-replace covered communications equipment or services from their networks.
