The FCC has announced the results of the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund Phase I auction. There were 180 winning bidders, which were awarded 10-year support totaling $9.23 billion to bring broadband service to 5,220,833 locations in 49 states and one territory.
The FCC has announced the results of the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund Phase I auction. LTD Broadband LLC is one of the biggest winners, with 10-year support totaling $1.32 billion to serve 528,088 locations in 15 states.
Satellite broadband provider SpaceX was a winning bidder in the FCC’s RDOF Phase I auction in 35 states. SpaceX won a total of $885.5 million in support to be provided over 10 years.
